Designing Reusable Components and Landing Page
Ollie will always hold a special place in my career, it was the brand that inspired me to launch my side business, Woodroux. I was drawn in by everything about Ollie: the product, the people, the aesthetics, and the heart behind the brand.
When I joined, Ollie didn’t yet have a dedicated UX designer. I was hired to fill that gap and partnered closely with the Marketing Director to evolve the site experience.
My work centered on building a library of reusable components, modular pieces of design that could be combined, rearranged, and scaled to create new pages and features with consistency. Using these, I designed and launched multiple landing pages, while also identifying gaps in the customer journey and exploring ways to make Ollie’s storytelling richer and more competitive.
This project was not just about creating pages, it was about laying the foundation of a system that allowed Ollie to move faster, communicate more effectively, and grow without reinventing the wheel each time.
Looking back, this remains one of the most fun and energizing projects I’ve been part of. It pushed my design thinking, deepened my love of component-driven design, and showed me firsthand the impact of close collaboration between marketing and UX.
